Pros to this post: BRG bike, which is freakin’ sweet
Cons to this post: where are your dogs to pull your new chariot?

I should really get a dog, but as you know, it’s not fair for the dog for me to leave dog at home all day

Just took it for 5 miles, it bikes good. I, however, don’t.

Googled “Roll City in British Racing Green”
Every glance feels like you walked into a staged posedown with someone trying uncomfortably hard
to make you take their “art” seriously.

Rest makes you stronger. That means stopping and getting off the bike longer than it feels you needed to fully recover. F rom not feeling like you had done enough you needed to recover. R iding for the first time in ages or pro cyclist, this basic fact does not change.
Never heard of Roll: before. H as that look of a tough city bike to it in BRG.

The owner is a big Porsche fan, so the colors come from there.

I did find the site eventually. Didn’t quite cut through the exurban marketing speak far enough to catch a Porsche homage.
Does he use official Porsche paint?

I don’t know if it’s actual Porsche paint, but the guys at the bike shop I bought it from told me he was into Porsche’s and then looking at the names of the colors made it very apparent.

Two wheels most definitely good. N ice ride, congrats.
Friendly advice: never
underestimate the value of a good pair of
chamois shorts when your rides start to exceed an hour.

True; I take some long breaks sometimes on my local MTB trail, which is really a hiking trail up. Then I can hit the next part harder than I would have done while already winded, and my total output is probably more overall. Plus I can conquer the harder technical stuff that I often can’t do when I’m huffing and puffing.

Looks perfect! Disc brakes too! What’s that puppy weigh?

Exactly, the cumulative physiological effects don’t require knowledge of +10 letter words to understand. On top of that t he more pronounced effect is often mental with your physical self so grateful to be unburdened. Keeps you sharp for technical terrain or inner city riding.

I did, once, make it up the whole trail I’m talking about, without stopping. At least, up to the point where it is generally considered possible to do so. It was like bowling a 300, and I tried not to let it get in my head.
Now, however, there is a series of obstacles from that stopping point to the next one that were previously considered impossible, but I have done each of them individually. So now I need to link them all, plus get up the rest of the trail continuously, which has also gotten harder due to washouts. I’ll get it done. Eventually.

Sounds way fun and always changing. Even if you pull it off in one go you haven’t actually beaten it.
